Department of Bioresources, School of Biological Sciences, University of Kashmir, Hazratbal Srinagar is Organizing three Day International Conference on Breast and Allied Cancers entitled "3rd J&K International Conference on Breast and Allied Cancers (JK-IBAC-2026) from 1st September to 3rd September 2026 at Gandhi Bhawan and Ibne-Khaldoon Auditorium University of Kashmir.

This 3rd Conference we are organizing on the feedback and successful conduct of 1st and 2nd International Conferences organized in 2024 and 2025. The main aim of the international Conference is to bring all the stake holders involved in Cancer Care and Management on the same platform and to discuss the latest technological advancements in Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment and Management  and to come up with solutions how we can reduce the rising burden in J&K and increase the patient survival.

The Conference is Sponsored by Anushadhan National Research Foundation (ANRF)- DST Ministry of Science and Technology Govt of India, New Delhi and co-sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir Science Technology and Innovation Council, Govt of J&K UT and J&K Bank.  Our Health Partners in this conference are Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura and Govt Medical College (GMC) and Associated Hospitals Srinagar. 

The objectives of the international Conferences are mentioned below but are not restricted to this.
• To provide a unique multidisciplinary setting for all professionals and health experts with a common interest in breast and Allied cancers to navigate, discuss, inform and educate themselves about this evolving Breast and allied Cancer disease landscape. • Panel discussions to formulate and stategise a comprehensive plan for awareness, education and communication (IEC) to reduce the incidence and mortality of Breast and Allied Cancers in J&K UT. • This conference is aimed to enhance breast cancer awareness, advancing research, collaborative networking, focus on patient care, policy development, education and training with CME points. Besides this conference will have a screening camp as well for screening and diagnosis. •

The Conference aims to develop Research Collaboration opportunities by involving renowned experts of Breast cancer throughout the whole globe. • To offer a platform for young research scholars to discuss and deliberate on the rising trend of breast cancer across the globe and Kashmir valley in particular. This conference will focus on thrust research areas like chemotherapy, genetic testing, cancer biomarkers, risk factors, and metastatic breast cancer, with a focus on TNBC cases which are most prevalent in Kashmir Valley • Showcasing of remarkable activities by experts in the field for prognosis, treatment, and diagnosis of breast cancer. To create and discuss innovative ideas for the better therapeutic interventions in the field of breast cancer. Implement multidisciplinary team-based strategies for recognizing and managing treatment-related adverse events for patients with breast cancer in order to reduce risk of harm while maintaining efficacy. Moreover this conference will also focus on screening of female employees and students of University of Kashmir and other sister universities of Kahmir valley in collaboration with tertiary care hospitals like Sheri-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) and Government Medical College Srinagar (GMC-SMHS) with whom University of Kashmir has MOU for the same.
